BANGFLUTTITUTU  |    solo exibhition   |   carpets of dreams, drawings, animations, objects, dream workshop     |     Curated by Roberta Perego   |    ONOFF     |    Milano, Italy     |     27 September - 12 October 2023

A solo exhibition conceived as a container of small visions that wind through often unknown forms, following a dreamlike logic. The exhibition consists of two previously unseen projects: "Carpet of Dreams" (2023) on which the public is invited to walk barefoot, and a sequence painted along the tiles of the exhibition space taken from a project in the making, a restitution of a kind of "imaginative vision" of a person with Alzheimer's, where memories and perceptions are reshaped, as in a dream. The small room in the back houses "Tutablu" (2020), a film emblematic of Giulia Savorani's research: a flow in which different elements and techniques guide the viewer through a layered and nonlinear narrative. The work is the brainchild of Luca Franceschini, co-author of the piece, who imagines a poison that, leaking from a cow's stomach, invades the planet. The compositional mode of the film returns in the choice of displaying it on the wall together with a series of fragments from previous projects and works: organic materials, photographs, sketches, patches of color, an animated sequence in the form of a preliminary study (part of the aforementioned project along the tiles of the space) and painted glass plates. Each of these elements references previous works, finished and unfinished, pandering to a logic of continuous reshaping.

The project includes two guided dreaming activities, led by the artist and designed to involve small groups of people, and a concluding live event structured as a dialogue between music and projections: a flow of changing sounds and images in which the projections, derived from the artist's films, create a mobile archive that regenerates along with the musical incursions of Francesco Salmaso and Stefano Grasso. The exhibition is accompanied by a fanzine distributed in a limited edition.
